Pedestrian air lifted to hospital after collision near train station

A pedestrian had to be airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a collision near Long Buckby Train Station.

Northamptonshire Police said they were called at about 7.10am today to Station Road.

The air ambulance helicopter was called to the scene and police closed off a stretch of the road so it could land.

The pedestrian was then taken to hospital in Coventry for treatment.
