THE Highways Agency is giving road users advance warning of a 36-hour weekend closure of the M1 and M6 motorways.
The closure will take place at the Catthorpe Interchange between midnight on Friday, January 6 and 12pm on Sunday, January 8 while the old Catthorpe Viaduct is demolished.
The M1 northbound between junctions 19 and 20 will be closed along with M1 southbound between junctions 19 and 18.
M6 southbound to M1 southbound (Junction 19) will also be closed.
A replacement viaduct has now been constructed and in early December southbound traffic was moved onto the new bridge, which carries M6 traffic over the M1.
