TICKETS are now available for a special event which will showcase the town’s history on film.

The Daventry May Day Memories Group has worked on the event with The Friends of Daventry Museum to host a night called Daventry on Film.

Among the memories that will be shown on the big screen is footage of the outdoor swimming pool and May Day celebrations held on the Market Square in the town between 1953 and 1967. There will also be footage of the Rugby to Daventry Ladies Run.

The group was set up in the build up to a museum exhibition about May Day held in 2010.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 5 starting at 7.30pm at the iCon building on Eastern Way, Daventry. Tickets cost £3 each or £5 for two.

For further details about the event or to book tickets, call Angela Adams on 01327 704928.
