YOUNGSTERS at Newnham Primary School have been given a brand new iPad courtesy of a firm in Daventry.

The new top of the range gadget has been given to the school by Danetre Garage based on the London Road.

It was given to the school on Thursday last week and will be used to help the teaching of the reception class.

It was the Friends of Newnham School (FONS) which approached companies to help them with funding towards an iPad2 with the garage paying outright for it.

Headteacher John Lawson said: “It will be used to teach literacy and music. There is an orchestra at their fingertips on there.

“We are so grateful the FONS worked hard to get one for the school.”
