A DAVENTRY counselling service raised both cash and awareness at a village garden event.
Time2Talk, which offers advice on issues including alcohol, drugs and sex to people aged 13 to 25, held the fundraiser at The Old Bakery in Flore.
The charity’s manager Andy Nixon said: “I think the weather really brought everyone out and we had a fair few people come down to the gardens.
“In two hours we raised just over £300 which is a very good amount. That was generated from people paying to get in and buying things like plants.
“The money will go towards our running costs, we are just ploughing everything we can into that at the moment and it all helps.
“All these little things add up and we raise a few thousand each year which really does make a big difference.”
