Daventry District Time Bank was one of the winners at the Northamptonshire Community Foundation Awards.
The organisation was given the Strengthening Community award at a special ceremony held at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton on Thursday last week.
The group was funded to run a Time Banking, which is a mutual help scheme using the sharing and exchanging of volunteers to help meet local needs.
Activities include teaching English as a second language, dog walking, DIY, decorating, babysitting, driving and gardening.
The project achieved 1,440 hours of activity generated within the community and 155 volunteers exchanging skills.
