MORE than £2,300 has been raised for The Jago Worrall Foundation following a charity event last night (Thursday).
The two-year-old was left with severe brain injuries after an accident in which he nearly drowned at the family home. His parents Barney and Lyn have been fundraising to help aid his recovery.
The night saw around 100 people attend the event to enjoy music from Daventry firm Audible Fidelity, wine tasting courtesy of Waitrose in Daventry. Artist Ryan Hadley also appeared on the night to talk about his work. Some top prizes were also won on the night including art classes, VIP tickets to a British touring cars event and gift vouchers.
The deputy editor of the Daventry Express Amanda Chalmers said: “We are delighted with how much money was raised at the event. A big thank you to Simon Williams and all the staff at the art cafe for organising this fantastic event.
“A big thank you also to Waitrose and Audible Fidelity for providing entertainment throughout the evening and everyone who donated prizes for the auction and the raffle.
“I know that Jago’s family are incredibly grateful for all of the fundraising and we know it will make a massive difference to his and his family’s life.”
