Thousands raised at charity shoot

A total of £13,935 was raised following a day of clay pigeon shooting in Hellidon.

Earlier this summer a charity clay pigeon shoot was held at Attlefield farm in Hellidon to raise funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

The event was organised jointly by Nick Hollick of Honesberie shooting school and Jen Daffurn of Countryside Caterers.

At total of 140 competitors in teams of four competed for a trophy and various other prizes in a 400 bird team flush competition followed by a presentation luncheon and an auction of prizes.

The total of £13,935.26 was raised for the air ambulance.

The organisers of the event said: “We would like to express our gratitude to all their many generous sponsors, contributors, competitors and of course the many volunteer helpers and we look forward to seeing them all next year for hopefully an even bigger and more succesful event.”
