Teenage bikers saddle up for charity

A GROUP of teenage cyclists from Daventry have taken part in a fundraising charity ride around Pitsford Reservoir.

Jaydn Chattaway decided to do the seven-mile ride after his cousin Abbie, from Kent, died of a rare brain tumour in September this year. They raised funds for a University of Nottingham project to help find a cure for brain tumours to try and prevent this happening to other children.

Tom Sharpe, Charly Porter, Matthew Coleman, Thomas Johnson, Ben Kortgas, Ethan Place and Jaydn, pictured above, did the bike ride last month and managed to raise a total of £647.
