Taking aim for charity

A CLAY pigeon shoot and off-road challenge will raise money for a local good cause.

Following the success of last year’s event the Hartwell Land Rover Holdenby Clay Pigeon Shoot is taking place on Sunday, March 27.

The event, which takes place on the estate of Holdenby House, and will be raising money for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

Teams of four are being asked to enter the shoot where there will be four stands and a 100 bird flush in the shadow of the Tudor house. Teams will also be treated to a lunch provided by the Red Lion in East Haddon.

Land Rover Experience will also be part of the day, allowing people to see the estate from a different angle.

There will also be a silent auction which will raise money for the air ambulance. Prizes include a long weekend in the Algarve, a golf lesson with a Northamptonshire pro and a day with local National Hunt trainer Caroline Bailey.

There will also be a bar offering a range of drinks including locally-brewed beers.
