MORE than 70 Daventry residents stepped out last Saturday (November 17) raising £700 in just two hours for premature babies.

The candlelit walk, organised by Weedon mother Lindsey Websdale, raised funds in support of charity Bliss, for babies born too small, too soon or very sick.

Mrs Websdale wanted to mark World Premature Baby Day and was inspired by her own experience as her son was born five weeks early.

She said: “When I started organising the walk I never thought it would get so big – it’s brilliant.”
