Staff from Yorkshire Bank swung into action to help people with disabilities.

They took part in a golf day for members of The Cube Disability day centres in Daventry, Northampton and Kettering.

Employees from Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking team in Northampton joined budding golfers to tee off at Brampton Heath Golf Centre, all in aid of the service provider, also based in Northampton.

The Cube Disability has 18 staff and the support of volunteers who work in Daventry, Northampton and the newest centre in Kettering. It caters for approximately 120 adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Jelena Milic, founder and owner of The Cube Disability, has been a Yorkshire Bank customer herself for nearly
25 years.

The bank provided £40k to support the refurbishment of the Kettering base earlier this year. The funding was delivered by Matthew Blessed, relationship manager at Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Northampton.

Matthew, who arranged the golf day, said: “We organised the event so staff and guests from The Cube Disability centres could have a fantastic experience, with many of them trying the game for the first time.

“The Cube Disability runs lots of unique, memorable activities for their users and I believe it is down to this, plus the high standard of care the team provides, that have made the centres such a success.

The Cube Disability is also active in the local sports community.
