PLANS for a solar farm have been scrapped after a government decision.
Hugh Paton, of Manor Farm, Adstone, had hoped to develop a solar farm on 30 acres of his farmland between Adstone and Canons Ashby, which would have produced enough electricity to power around 1,000 homes.
But last minute changes to subsidies in a Government review of the feed-in tariffs that top up revenues for renewable power Mr Paton, who invested £100,000 in the project, has had to discard his plans.
He said: “It is not viable for us to continue. It is incredibly disappointing.”
