A TOWN centre charity shop is holding a week of activities to raise money and awareness.
The British Red Cross shop, on the High Street, has been handing out free balloons to children and has also had a tombola running since Monday with a range of prizes on offer.
There are also lots of collectable antiques on sale in the shop, with all the proceeds going to charity.
The activities have been arranged as part of British Red Cross Week, which is hoping to raise a total of £1 million at stores across the country with its fundraising effort.
The cash will be used to help people in crisis all around the world.
Daventry shop manager Leslie Adams said: “We’ve had quite a few people coming in and giving us their support this week.
“Also if people spend more than £10 tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday they will get entered into our prize draw and could win a food hamper or ladies watch and matching bracelet.
“We are just trying to make people aware of what Red Cross does in both this country and abroad.
“The aim is to raise as much awareness, as well as as much money, as we can.”
