HUNDREDS of scouts, explorers, cubs and beavers will march through the centre of Daventry on Saturday.
Youngsters and leaders from across the Daventry district will set off from the old outdoor pool car park, off Ashby Road, at 2pm, and head up North Street, along High Street, Sheaf Street and through Bowen Square to end up at the New Street Rec at 2.30pm.
The parade marks 100 years of scouting locally, and some marchers will be in fancy dress.
They will be led by the Northamptonshire Scout Band and the Mayor of Daventry.
After the parade there will be various activities on the rec.
The parade replaces the town’s traditional St George’s Day event for this year.
