Science-fiction stars latest to meet fans at town café

Two stars from the world of science fiction will be doing signings at a Daventry café.

Warwick Davis will be appearing at Kuni’s Coffee and Comics in Bowen Square today from 5pm..

This will be followed by a visit from Ian McNeice on Thursday, October 16.

Warwick is a familiar actor in the cult arena with appearances as Willow Ufgood in Willow, Ewok Wicket in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi and Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter film franchise.

He was seen more recently on our screens in An Idiot Abroad 3, Life’s Too Short and as the emperor of the universe in the science fiction series Doctor Who. He is currently hosting the new series of Celebrity Squares on ITV and has just finished filming the second series of his travel show Weekend Escapes With 
Warwick.

Warwick will be at the café at 5pm, where he will be meeting fans and signing autographs.

Shakespearean actor Ian McNeice will also be visiting the coffee shop.

He got his big break when he appeared in the BBC drama Edge of Darkness and has more recently also appeared in Doctor Who, playing wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Kuni’s was opened in December last year by Red Dwarf actor Chris Barrie.

There have been several signings at the cafe since, including fellow Red Dwarf stars Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn.
