BUDDING gardeners are looking forward to a bumper crop after a new greenhouse was built.
Woodford Halse Primary School received money from Daventry and District Housing (DDH) which aims to support the local community. It will help to grow fruit, vegetables and grow exotic seedlings which thrive under warmer climates.
Headteacher Mike Wills, said: “Learning about nature in a fun way is one of the best ways to get children interested in science, raising their aspirations from an early age.
“The greenhouse is an excellent addition to our school’s learning environment and we would like to thank DDH for their support.”
DDH’s resident involvement officer Sarah Sims said: “The gardening club is already reaping the benefits of the new facilities and we hope that it continues to be an enjoyable, fit-for-purpose environment.”
