Santas put through their paces for festive charity dash

A GROUP of Santas and the national 10-mile Christmas Pudding Champion were training at Daventry Leisure Centre on Tuesday.

The group is getting ready for the Santa Run and Christmas Pudding Dash in Nether Heyford and Flore on December 2.

They are calling for families to join them by signing up for a half-mile, one-mile or five-mile run.

John Tanton, of On Your Marks Events, put the festive four through their paces in a bid to help them catch the infamous Christmas Pudding.

The company supports MeningitisUK through all of its events following the loss of John’s son Mark to the disease.

A Santa costume is compulsory with suits available from www.onyourmarksevents.org where people can also register. Entry costs from £4 to £12.

The deadline is November 23 but people can also register on the day from 12.30pm ahead of the 2pm start.
