THE Royal Mail is planning up to 7,000 delivery rounds this Sunday with the severe weather that has hampered services set to return.

The move follows Royal Mail’s announcement on Monday that it has invested £20 million in a range of measures to tackle the impact on deliveries during the coldest December in almost 30 years.

Mark Higson, managing director of Royal Mail, said: “We are planning up to 7,000 delivery rounds this Sunday as we continue our drive to deliver items as quickly as possible.”
