Around 100 villagers turned out for a spot of competitive egg rolling – all in the name of fundraising.
The annual event was hosted by Eydon Community Sports Field on Easter Monday, held at the top of Blacksmiths Lane.
Entrants across different categories prayed their eggs weren’t scrambled as they rolled down the hill.
The treasurer of the Sports Field project Peter Keenan said: “We had a really good day and the weather was very kind to us which contributed to the good turnout. “This is one of a number of fundraising events that we have throughout the year and we hold this event every Easter. It was great fun.”
A total of £160 was raised from the event. For further information about the project visit sites.google.com/site/eydonsportsfield/
