Residents across the district will take part in coffee mornings to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Last year 154,000 signed up for the national event, raising £20 million for the charity which provides support to cancer sufferers and their families.
The national coffee morning is to take place on Friday, September 26 though other fund-raisers have organised mornings the previous week.
Seers Farmhouse in Boddington will host its event on September 19 from 10am to noon, with Braunston and Newham village halls to hold Macmillan coffee mornings on September 20 from 10am-noon and 10am to 2pm. A Macmillan ‘Charity Ride’ will be held on September 20 at Park Farm Equestrian and Chasers near Clay Cotton.
Long Buckby United Reform Church, meanwhile, will hold its coffee morning from 10am on September 26.
Daventry Brass band will also be holding its coffee morning on September 26, from 9am, at its hall on Daneholme Close, as will Co-operative Funeralcare, High Street, Daventry, from 10am-2pm, with coffee, cakes and prizes on offer. Charwelton Village Hall will host it’s event on September 26 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
