A Rainbows group in Welton is stepping out on a fundraising walk at Daventry Country Park in aid of The Jago Worrall Foundation.
Members of the First Welton Rainbows have also decided to host a fundraiser for the two-year-old who lives in the village. They will be hosting the sponsored walk on Thursday, July 11.
The leader of the group, Rachael Hibberd, said: “We felt this would be a challenge for the Rainbows and it also gave them scope to add their own twist to the event. The Rainbows themselves have decided to also have a dress code.
“The dress code is silly wigs, hats, hairbands, face paints, tutus and other crazy dressing up.”
The group will be joined by other Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and senior section members from across Daventry.
Rachael has also opened the invitation up to families to join them for the walk which, gets under way at 5pm.
The proceeds will help to fund continued home care of Jago who suffered serious brain injuries after nearly drowning in an accident at home.
