AN ASIAN man suffered severe bruising after he was attacked in Bugbrooke last week.
The assault, which police are calling racially aggravated, happened on John’s Road at some point between 6 and 7pm on Thursday, January 13.
The victim was punched in the head after getting off a bus in John’s Road. He fell to the floor and, on getting to his feet, was then punched again by the offender. This time he fell into the road in front of a passing motorist.
The victim is Asian and believes the assault was racially motivated. He sustained severe bruising to his right eye.
The offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 9ins tall and of large build. He is thought to have been wearing a large coat.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of the vehicle who they say will have witnessed the assault. He was driving a blue vehicle which was travelling along John’s Road.
