CHILDREN at an infant school in Daventry attempted to break a new world record as they attempted to sign and sing a song simultaneously.
The youngsters from Falconer’s Hill Infant School joined around 30,000 other pupils in 250 schools across the country at the event which was organised by the charity SignHealth.
The record attempt was done on Wednesday, February 9, and the school was pleased to take part.
Headteacher, Coleen Wilkins said: “We were very excited to take part in this event.
“Sign2sing will be a fun way of teaching deaf awareness to all our pupils. We have received our training DVD and the sign2sing team have certainly made it very easy for us with some valuable supporting teaching resources.”
The current record for signing and singing a song simultaneously is 13,418 people.
