PUPILS at Danetre School got the chance to broaden their horizons with an enrichment day.

All the pupils were taken off timetable on Friday last week to take part in a number of different activities throughout the day.

Year Seven pupils spent the day with Heather Wilson from Green Acres Rural Enterprise Centre, a new company based on a former farm in Staverton. She was able to tell them about where their food comes from and what is produced on farm land in this country.

This was followed by the students working together in small groups to create and build their own model farms.

This is the third year the school has run the enrichment day and a spokesman said that their “success is growing with each one.”
