PUPILS at a primary school are designing a new logo to help promote their village.
The youngsters at Newnham Primary School have teamed up with the village’s parish council and will now run a competition before deciding on the new logo.
All the pupils at the school are able to enter the competition, and the winning logo will then be portrayed around the village and stamped on things like headed notepaper used by the council.
Headteacher at the school John Lawson said: “Our school council is arranging the project with Newnham Parish Council this week and then we will run the competition.
“All of the pupils will be able to design a logo and when that’s done the parish councillors will pick the winner.
“I think it’s a great thing for the children to get involved with and helps us and the pupils become a bigger part of the community.”
