A MAN who has worked with adults with learning difficulties in Daventry has been recognised by a countywide award.
Spencer Freed was the runner-up in the Caring in the Community category at the Pride in Northamptonshire Awards.
Spencer has been a sessional worker for The Studio in Newlands, Daventry which runs sessions for adults with disabilities and learning difficulties.
He has gone on to be the manager of The Cube disability centre in Northampton, which was set up by The Studio as its first expansion outside of Daventry.
The awards were handed out by Eastenders’ star Adam Woodyatt at Wicksteed Park’s Pavillion in Kettering.
Unfortunately, Spencer couldn’t pick up his award on the night, which was instead collected by his mother.
