A pub and a hotel are among the new venues being proposed for polling stations in the Daventry district as part of a review aimed at making it easier for people to vote.
Daventry District Council (DDC) is inviting people to have their say on the proposals, which have been put together in response to comments received following the launch of a review into polling stations in the area.
Changes being proposed include moving the polling station for the Stefen Hill voters on Daventry’s Drayton Ward from Stefen Hill Sports Park in Western Avenue to The Peppermill pub in Westerberg Square.
Further plans include adding an extra polling station in Mayfield Park Sports Club for voters on the Timken estate and moving the polling station for voters on Lang Farm, Middlemore and Monksmoor from Ashby Fields School to the Daventry Court Hotel
Voters from Ashby Fields would continue to vote at Ashby Fields School.
For more information on the proposals, view the polling district, places and station review at www.daventrydc.gov.uk/elections.
