Plans for annual St George’s parade

Arrangements are being made for this year’s Daventry St George’s Day Parade.

Daventry District Scouts will be holding their annual St George’s Day Parade in the town centre on Saturday, April 27.

The parade will feature youngsters from across the district and will be led by the Northamptonshire Scout Band.

It will start at the old swimming pool car park at 2pm and will be led the Mayor of Daventry Town Council. The parade will walk up North Street, along High Street, Sheaf Street, Bowen Square.

There will then be a parade at the New Street Rec at about 2.30pm. From 3pm onwards Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers will be taking part in activities and games. Members of the public are very welcome to come along and watch the activities.
