POLICE have launched a new operation designed to crack down on the theft of catalytic converters from cars.
A total of eight thefts have happened across the Daventry district in the past two weeks.
A car was targeted in Barby Road and The Banks, both in Kilsby, overnight on Wednesday, July 18.
There was a spree as three cars, parked on Cavalry Drive, Nelson Close and Grenadier Road in Daventry, all had their catalytics converters stolen on Sunday, July 22.
On the same night, the same part was stolen from cars in The Chase and Brington Road, Long Buckby, and another from Main Street, Watford.
Catalytic converters have also been stolen from cars in Flore, Lilbourne and Barby this year.
