An online retailer is investing £650,000 in a new depot in Daventry.
Flooring Superstore, an online retailer of carpets and flooring, is investing the money in a new transport depot in Daventry that will create eight new jobs and benefit its customers.
The firm says the investment in the new 10,000 sq ft facility at the Royal Oak Industrial Estate will allow for easier access and quicker delivery times, with the firm growing its presence in the UK.
Dan Foskett, managing director of Flooring Superstore, said: “This latest investment in our infrastructure and workforce will allow us to stay at the forefront of our industry, cope with our increased demand and offer an even greater service to our customers. The expansion into a new transport depot will allow our dedicated team and fleet to deliver our products even more efficiently to customers from all over the UK.”
Flooring Superstore has also taken delivery of four new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans to its fleet, with additional vehicles on order to accommodate the expansion.
Mr Foskett added: “It is an exciting time for the company as we look to grow our brand and offer our services to even more customers. We are progressing nicely with our ambitious expansion plans, with future investments planned that will increase our fleet of vehicles and the added space gives us even more capacity to grow.”
