A YOUNG musician will be out and about in Daventry raising money for charity.
James Wright, 26, from the Timken estate, is planning to busk with his acoustic guitar on his days off from now until around September 14 all to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Mr Wright has a t-shirt and banner supplied by Cancer Research UK as part of its Busking Cancer campaign to help make the public aware of the cause.
He said: “I don’t know exactly which days I’ll be playing because I work full-time in Rugby and my rota can vary.
“But when I do get days off, which is usually twice a week, I will be in the town centre playing, probably under the cover of Foundry Walk near the Post Office.
“The reaction from the public when I last did Busking Cancer was wonderful.
“I had lots of different people coming up to me while I was playing and telling me different stories about their experiences.
“It was that type of reaction from people which has spurred me on to do it again.”
