Motorbike festival in Daventry this weekend

Daventry town centre will echo to the sound of motorbikes and music this Saturday (June 13) as the ‘Daventry Motorcycle Festival’ roars into town.

The event is organised by local motorcycle enthusiasts, with support from Daventry District Council and Daventry Town Council, and will take place between 10.30am and 4pm place in the Market Square and on High Street.

Activities includes a ‘ride-in’ of motorbikes, displays of old and new bikes, stalls, children’s activities, music and food.

Bikes will meet in Browns Road from 9am, before heading into the town centre for the Ride In at 10am.

In addition to bikes there will be music, food and children’s activities including bouncy castle, bungee run, candy floss, face painting, side-car rides, balloon modelling, and ice cream. This year’s music line up is also certain to get you revved up as some superb local bands take to the stage. Performing on the day will be So’77, Fall from Glory, Twisted State of Mind and Sgt Bilko’s Krazy Combo!

Chris Stanley, chairman of the festival, said: “Bike enthusiast or not we think you will enjoy it so we look forward to welcoming you on the day.”
