People are invited to learn about the Magna Carta at the Abbey Resource Centre in Daventry tomorrow (Friday).
A talk is being held by Friends of Daventry Museums in Market Square, Daventry from 7.30pm.
Mike Ingram will speak about the Magna Carta and the 1st Barons’ War.
Much of the Magna Carta was drawn up in Northampton before the meeting at Runnymede.
Magna Carta, which means “The Great Charter”, is one of the most important documents in history as it established the principle that everyone is subject to the law, even the monarch, and guarantees the rights of individuals, the right to justice and the right to a fair trial.
Members, guests and visitors are all welcome. It costs £3 for non-members.
