A FAST food chain is looking to get more involved in the district and help support local clubs.
Glyn Pashley, franchise manager at McDonald’s in Daventry, is urging community groups to come forward if they want support from the restaurant.
He purchased the franchise in February 2010 and has since spent £320,000 refurbishing and extending the restaurant.
Mr Pashley said: “Now that all the work is done I want to get more involved in the community. One of the reasons that McDonald’s franchise restaurants is to enable the manager to get involved with the area in which it’s based. It gives the restaurant a face.
“We can potentially get involved in things like sponsoring local clubs and arranging litter picks.
“I will also be getting to know the local councillors in Daventry and asking them what we can get involved in.
“Sport and the environment are the two main things I would personally like to help with.
“We would also welcome people who want to come here and hold things like raffles, cake sales or car washes in the car park.”
Mr Pashley has also expanded his workforce by around eight this year and said more jobs could be on the horizon.
He added: “Since the refurbishment trade has improved and if that trend continues there could be more jobs available in Daventry.”
If you’d like McDonald’s to help with a community project or fundraiser pop into the restaurant on Vicar Lane.
