BRAUNSTON residents turned out to enjoy the village’s first Christmas craft market on Saturday.
The event took place on the village green with a wide range of stalls for people to enjoy.
Spiced apple juice and roast chesnuts were available for people to help keep the cold at bay while The Braunston Singers helped create a festive atmosphere.
There were homemade Christmas cakes and puddings for sale as well as sausages available from Wolfhampcote Farm.
One of the organisers, Sandy McDonald, said: “We were really pleased with how it turned out, we had a lot of stalls and a lot of people come and see it.
“We are looking to run it again next year and it should be even bigger.”
A total of £300 was raised at the market which will go towards putting on the Braunston Festival next summer.
The festival is set to feature a wide range of entertainment and including music, film screenings and dancing.
