A CHARITY set up by a Long Buckby family has donated £20,000 to a hospice.

The money was raised by Tim’s Charity and was given to the Cynthia Spencer Hospice to help fund the creation of a new carers’ support service at the hospice.

The Charity was set up by Tim Hemmings’ parents Yvonne and Bill from Long Buckby, and Tim’s wife Mia who lives in West Hunsbury.

Tim Hemmings grew up in Long Buckby but died aged 36 at the hospice from clear cell sarcoma in 2008.

Bill Hemmings said: “We know first-hand how important this service will be to support the families and carers of palliative patients.”
