CHILDREN at Long Buckby Infant School tucked into a very festive breakfast last week when Santa paid a visit.
The Friends of Long Buckby Infant School Association (FLBISA) organised for Santa to set up his grotto at the school as well as receive presents and have breakfast in a friendly family environment.
Member of the FLBISA and event organiser Angela Copping said: “A lot of children are sometimes quite scared of meeting Santa so we thought they would be a bit happier to meet him in a familiar environment at the school with their families.
“And they had a fantastic time, the event had a really nice family atmosphere.”
The association made around £65 from the event.
Mrs Copping added: “The event wasn’t really to make any money for the school although we have a bit left over - it was really just for the children to have a good time, have some breakfast and do some Christmas crafts, and of course meet Santa.”
Each of the 54 children present will also receive a photo of themselves with Santa as a keepsake.
Mrs Copping said that following the success of the breakfast she is considering making it an annual event for the children.
