Women's mental health group in Daventry to hear from psychotherapist

A group set up to help women over 40 suffering with a range of mental health issues meets this Friday.

On March 17 Unity will have a visit from a psychotherapist at 2pm, followed by half an hour of armchair yoga at 3pm.

Unity has the aim of “uniting together to bring back the good times.” It is aimed at women aged 40 and over who are suffering with low self-esteem, loneliness, anxiety, despair and struggling to leave the house.

The group aims to help women who feel they have no purpose and difficulty socialising because they are suffering day-to-day with depression and other mental health problems.

They meet on Fridays at Daventry Methodist Church, in Golding Close by the leisure centre.

There will be, funding permitting, different things going on most weeks, make up lessons, hair consultations, reflexology and an outing. There will be also be quiet sessions for people to sit and chat.
