Woman pushed to ground in attempted robbery

A WOMAN was shoved to the ground during an attempted robbery in a village.

The 47-year-old woman was walking along West Street in Long Buckby between 8.40pm and 8.50pm when she was pushed to the ground, between two cars and a wall.

A man demanded money from her and then made off in an unknown direction.

Although the attack took place on Saturday, December 29, police have only today issued an appeal for information.

Nothing was stolen, but the woman received minor injuries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any questions about it.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 - alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
