A spokesman for Magpas Air Ambulance said, in a statement released today, that the medics were called on Sunday at 5.45pm.

“Magpas Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Simon Standen landed near Daventry, via the air ambulance, to treat a woman who had been kicked by a cow,” he said.

“The Magpas team assessed the woman (in her 40s), who had sustained a leg injury. They gave her advanced pain relief (providing advanced A&E level care at the scene) and put measures in place to protect her injuries.

“The patient was then flown to University Hospital Coventry where she was in a stable condition upon arrival,” he said.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were chief pilot Richard Eastwood and crewmember Lee Kennedy. EMAS Ambulance Service was also in attendance.
