Woman airlifted to hospital after horse accident in Staverton

A 34-year old woman has been airlifted to hospital after being thrown from her horse onto a road in Staverton, Northamptonshire.

The incident happened on Friday, January 24. Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) were tasked to the call at 10.45am and arrived at the scene just over 10 minutes later.

On the crew’s arrival, the patient was alert, but complaining of pain to her lower back.

She was immobilised before being flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further treatment. Her condition was stable en route to the hospital.
