Water problems in Daventry

Homes around Daventry have been left with no water or low pressure due to a burst water main.

The problem appeared to be affecting homes in and around the Grange area of the town from around 4.30pm on Friday April 29, and was initially thought to be due to a faulty pump but Anglian Water later found a water main had burst.

Due to the nature of the problem, Anglian Water says it may take until 10pm to get the supply back to normal.

Once the water main has been repaired, the water may appear cloudy or discoloured – the advice is to run your tap until it becomes clear once again.

Updates on the issue can be found on Anglian Water’s website.
