People are being asked for their views on a new leisure centre in the eastern part of the district.
Daventry District Council (DDC) is asking where the new facility should be located and if there is a requirement for the plans. The feedback will be used to help shape more detailed proposals ahead of further stages of consultation.
The idea is that the premises would act as a hub for sport and leisure activity across the east of the district whilst meeting a need for more local amenities prompted by major future housing growth in the area. Locations currently suggested are Brixworth and Moulton.

The council’s community, culture and leisure portfolio holder Cllr Alan Hills said: “We’ve carried out initial work which has shown us that proposals for a leisure centre east are feasible and would help to address the need for more local amenities in an area of our district where major growth is planned.
“I would encourage them all to complete the survey which will provide us with valuable feedback as we shape the details of this project.”
