Two men arrested in connection with village robbery which saw couple tied up

TWO men have been arrested in connection with a robbery in Collingtree which saw a couple tied up and threatened at knife-point on New Year’s Day.

A 32-year-old man from Semilong and a 27-year-old man from Briar Hill have been given police bail pending further enquiries.

They were arrested in Briar Hill and Far Cotton.

The robbery in Spinney Drive, Collingtree happened at about 8.15pm on New Year’s Day.

Both victims were tied up and money, jewellery mobile phones and tablet computers were taken from the house.
