Train conductor back at work after police caution for taking passenger's Kindle, London Midland confirms

The London Midland employee was issued with the formal warning, which he accepted, in January.

It is understood that he picked up the device on a train and took it back to his home.

When asked by police, he said he had been unable to deposit the Kindle in lost property but intended to do so.

He was subsequently arrested and accepted the caution.

London Midland confirmed that the conductor was back at work following a review of the incident.

A spokesman said: “The conductor has been dealt with under appropriate disciplinary procedures.”
