Daventry Arts Festival is to return for the fourth time, it has been announced.
The event, organised by Daventry and District Housing (DDH), runs from Saturday, July 5 to Sunday, July 20.
Full details of the itinerary throughout the two weeks have not yet been unveiled, but another Strictly Daventry event will be held at Daventry Leisure Centre. Last year’s dancing competition raised £2,235 for Support4SDR, a charity dedicated to improving care for cerebral palsy sufferers.
The DDH Youth Board will team up with the Phoenix Centre to host the Summer Samba which sees local artists and musicians showcase their talent.
Sarah Sims, community development officer at DDH, said: “We are delighted to be able to organise this great event with the help of other local organisations who contribute so much to help it run so smoothly. Daventry Arts Festival is a fantastic opportunity for local people to get involved with their community in a fun and active way and we hope to make the event bigger and better than ever.
“It is the perfect platform for local individuals and groups to show off their talent, be it dancing, singing, acting or anything that they would like to bring to the stage.
“Following on from the success of last year, it promises to be an action-packed two weeks which will provide entertainment for everyone.”
