Town florist proves she was dressed for success in contest

A FLORISTS in the town  centre has won a best dressed window competition.

Orange Bloosom based in the High Street was announced winner of the competition which was organised as part of Daventry Arts Festival, running throughout July.

The shop’s owner Gemma Powell said: “I am absolutely delighted to win the competition and feel all our hard work over the past few months has been rewarded.

“We always put a huge amount of effort into our window displays, which are vital in maintaining and attracting new customers into the shop – it’s all about creating the right impression for customers.”

She won a certificate and tickets to an outdoor theatre show.

Forthcoming highlights of Daventry Arts Festival include an open mic night, music in the park, playground games and an open-air cinema.
