The peloton passed through numerous locations during it’s visit to the county, including south Northamptonshire, Daventry, Guilsborough, Naseby, Desborough and Rothwell.

Today was the final stage of the five-day event, which attracts some of the best female cyclists in the world.

Cyclist Lotta Lepisto won today’s stage, but the overall tour winner was British cycling star Lizzie Armitstead.

Large crowds gathered in Kettering Market Place for the podium presentation.

This is the third time the Women’s Tour has been to Northamptonshire.

Last year, the race was watched by 67,500 people who lined the streets from Oundle to Kettering and it brought £1 million into the local economy.
