Work is set to start on a special timeline project at Newnham Primary School.
The school held an open day to mark becoming an academy on Monday.
But inspired by an article in the Daventry Express, the school decided to make it an open day with a difference.
Headteacher Kim Cresswell said: “We saw an article in the paper which showed the school from 100 years ago and that inspired us to go on and draw up plans for the timeline.
“As a result, we are looking for people to come in during the open day to bring in old photographs, stories or memories they might have.”
The school has been an academy since September 1 having teamed up with The David Ross Education Trust. The firm runs similar set ups at The Abbey Junior School in Daventry and Welton Academy and attended the launch.
Anyone who has something to contribute but cannot make the event is invited to call the school on 01327 705053 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
